Something we have found over the years is that most methods of stone & tile cleaning have limited effectiveness when coming to these Lego type ceramics found in non-slip areas. The large variation in differing heights can render most all forms of professional hard floor cleaning machinery impotent, and a mopping does next to nothing to improve appearance.
Other ways used to clean say a riveted sandstone of varying layers are not suitable here either as they would tear away at the stone opening it up and causing lasting damage (although maybe not visible on first look).
